We were visiting Bendigo and decided to “make the effort” of taking a 5 min ride share to eat here because of the overwhelming positive reviews. Fantastic meal (extensive menu), excellent staff. Make the effort as you won’t be disappointed.

We had a lovely late lunch here this afternoon to celebrate a birthday. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The meals were very tasty. We had pumpkin cannelloni, slow cooked rolled lamb shoulder, pie of the day with chips instead (for one of the kids), kids nuggets and chips, kids cheese burger and chips. So delicious! Great atmosphere! Highly recommend a visit.

We came here for our Christmas party and were absolutely taken care of by the team here. The food was fantastic with all of us ordering different meals and said how we really all enjoyed them. The place was super busy being a Saturday night and we loved the atmosphere. The staff were great and accommodated all our needs. Also hats off to the bar staff who make an incredible espresso martini. Thanks for having us team :)

Beautiful Hotel hidden away from the Cbd of Bendigo. Nice staff and helpful. Food was really good. I had the Swordfish with pineapple salsa and baked chap potatoes and rocket salad cooked nicely. My daughter had the roast lamb shoulder so tender, it was fulling apart. Hubby had roast duck leg and vegs. Tender and juicy. Then we had the vegan chocolate brownie with ice cream, so GOOD! We will differently go back when we visit Bendigo.

AMAZING! What a find. Great environment with a range of dining areas. Delightful staff who warmly welcomed us and made the experience so much better :) Food was excellent quality and very generous serves. Staff very attentive throughout the meal. Expansive menu (with additional specials list) and good range of drinks. People with mobility issues will be fine here as it's all on one floor with few obstacles. Noise level very low .. which was a very pleasant surprise for a gastro pub! We'll absolutely return when next in Bendigo. Well done guys on an excellent experience.

We ate here on our way to Phil Collins tribute show, eating Porterhouse steak and rolled lamb shoulder with vegetables. Both meals were tender and delicious and served within 30 minutes of ordering, after we mentioned the show was on in an hour. We were seated quickly, also,which was appreciated as well. Previously we had called in on the way home, based on great online reviews for the hotel, never having eaten here before and looking for a good recommendation. The service was quick, friendly, welcoming, professional and accommodating. We were seated in a corner near all facilities, the specials menu was explained and we were shown where to order our meal. The food came in a reasonable time frame and it was excellent - beef mignon and a huge porterhouse steak were both delicious and cooked to perfection, with tasty chips and a generous serving of colourful vegetables to make the meal look and taste appealing. The decor was warm, inviting and rustic, with old photos and implements, etc. on earthy brick walls, comfortable furniture and dark curtains and carpet to absorb any noise. The temperature was comfortable. The staff warned us that the chef would be leaving so we could order dessert - the vacherin icecream dessert was delicious! Staff removed crockery and glasses quickly. Understandably the hotel was very busy, but it was not noisy, with some background music at a good volume, not to interfere with conversation. Coffee was good, served with a biscuit. We would definitely eat here again.

Do not be deceived the the facade. Once you enter, you are transported back in history. The interior is welcoming and comfortable. We ordered the lunch special. There was a choice of five dishes for $24.90 including a drink. I chose the file whiting while hubby could not go past the crumbed lamb cutlets. Both meals were generous in size. Neither meal could be faulted. The highlight of my dish was the housemade tartar sauce. If ever you're in Bendigo during meal time, give this place a go and, hopefully, you will be pleasantly surprised also.

We visited The Old Boundary Hotel on Monday to have lunch for my sons and my joint Birthdays. It was very enjoyable indeed! The food was truly delicious and the service was fantastic! 😍 It is such a lovely hotel 😁 We all agreed that we will definitely be visiting again very soon! Highly recommend 👌

Great little Spot in Bendigo, went for dinner the other night with a couple workers, all Meals were fantastic staff are friendly and love the decor. Chicken Schnitzel with mash, veg and garlic prawn topper - schnitzel was tender veg was nice and the garlic prawns were very nice sauce perfect just the right amount of garlic couldn’t fault it, and they also supplied a side of gravy with out asking which was nice. Trio of Sausages - told they were great Steak sandwich loom really good the guy I went with did say the steak was slightly tough. I’ll definitely be returning on my next trip.
